Eryngium
Eryngium is a genus of flowering plants that belongs to the family Apiaceae. They are commonly known as "sea hollies" because of the shape and color of their flowers, which resemble holly leaves and have a blue or silvery-gray coloration. Eryngium plants are native to Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and are now grown in many other parts of the world as ornamental plants.
Eryngium plants have tall, spiky stems that can reach up to four feet in height. The flowers are typically blue or white, and have a distinctive cone-shaped center that is often surrounded by spiky bracts. The foliage of Eryngium plants is often green or grayish-green, and can be quite spiky or prickly.
