With Plants for all Seasons's Live Delivery Guarantee, you can shop with complete peace of mind, knowing that your green investments are protected from our nursery to your doorstep.
Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’, often called Satin Pothos or Silver Vine, is a beautiful trailing plant prized for its velvety green leaves adorned with shimmering silver spots. Each heart-shaped leaf has a satin-like finish, giving this plant a uniquely soft and luminous look. Native to Southeast Asia, this species is related to Epipremnum but grows more slowly and compactly, making it ideal for bowl-style pots on shelves, desks, or table centrepieces. Its tidy, graceful vines spill elegantly over the sides of containers, offering low-effort beauty with a touch of silver sophistication. Easy to care for and tolerant of a range of conditions, Scindapsus ‘Argyraeus’ is perfect for beginners and interior plant stylists alike.
Indoors: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain leaf variegation.
Low light: Tolerated, but leaves may darken and variegation may fade.
Direct sun: Avoid, as it may cause leaf scorch, especially on the silver areas.
Ideal temperature: 18–26°C (65–79°F)
Minimum temperature: Keep above 15°C (59°F)
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Thrives in typical indoor levels but appreciates misting or a pebble tray in drier spaces.
Watering frequency: Water when the top 2–4 cm of soil feels dry. Keep evenly moist, but not wet.
Winter: Water less often, allowing the soil to dry more between waterings.
Bowl pot tip: Ensure proper drainage in shallow containers — never allow the roots to sit in water.
Soil type: Use a light, well-draining mix. Blend houseplant compost with perlite and a touch of orchid bark or sand.
Pot type: Ideal in wide, shallow bowl pots, letting vines drape over edges for a soft, full look.
Drainage: Ensure drainage holes or use a liner pot inside decorative bowls.
Growing season (spring–summer): Feed every 4–6 weeks with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Autumn–winter: Feed every 6–8 weeks or pause if growth slows.
Pruning: Trim stems to encourage bushiness or remove any leggy growth.
Leaf care: Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth to keep leaves dust-free and enhance their silvery sheen.
Growth habit: Naturally trailing; ideal for tabletop bowls, plant stands, or wall shelves.
Stem cuttings: Root cuttings in water or moist soil. Ensure each cutting includes at least one node.
Easy to multiply: Great for creating fuller pots or gifting to fellow plant lovers.
Common pests: Spider mites, mealybugs, and thrips — particularly in dry air.
Symptoms: Curling leaves, dull foliage, or sticky residue.
Treatment: Wipe down and treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap. Increase humidity to deter pests.
Common issues:
Yellowing leaves: Often caused by overwatering or poor drainage.
Loss of variegation: Typically due to low light — move to a brighter position.
Toxicity: Mildly toxic if ingested. May cause irritation to pets and humans.
Precaution: Keep out of reach of small children and animals.
Best grown in shallow bowl pots displayed on:
Shelves, mantels, and sideboards to let vines gently trail
Dining tables or desks for a low-profile, stylish centrepiece
Layered plant displays paired with upright or dark green foliage for contrast
A great choice for neutral, minimalist, or modern interiors where its silver highlights can shine.
Pairs beautifully with other small-leaved trailing plants like Cebu Blue or Peperomia prostrata.
