Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.
At Plants for all Seasons, we recognise the critical role our courier partners play in ensuring the safe and secure delivery of your plants. Epipremnum aureum, widely known as Golden Pothos or Devil’s Ivy, is a classic, easy-care trailing houseplant celebrated for its heart-shaped green leaves marbled with golden-yellow variegation. Fast-growing, adaptable, and incredibly forgiving, it’s one of the most popular indoor plants in the world — and for good reason. When grown in a large, shallow bowl pot, its trailing vines drape beautifully over the sides, making it perfect for shelves, tabletops, kitchen counters, and interior styling. This versatile plant thrives in a variety of lighting conditions and is an excellent air-purifier, making it equally at home in offices, living rooms, and lower-light corners. Whether you're styling a single specimen or grouping with other foliage plants, Golden Pothos always delivers vibrant, tropical charm with minimal effort.
Indoors: Thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates low light well.
Direct sun: Avoid harsh midday sun, which may bleach or scorch the leaves.
Low light: Will result in slower growth and reduced variegation but will survive.
Ideal temperature: 18–26°C (65–79°F)
Minimum temperature: Keep above 13°C (55°F)
Humidity: Adaptable to most household humidity. Higher humidity encourages faster growth but is not essential.
Watering frequency: Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid soggy conditions, especially in bowl pots.
Winter: Reduce watering slightly to match slower growth.
Tip: Yellowing leaves typically indicate overwatering; dry, brown edges usually suggest underwatering.
Soil type: Use a well-draining houseplant mix with added perlite or coarse sand for airflow.
Pot type: Grows beautifully in wide, shallow bowl pots, allowing vines to trail naturally over the edges.
Drainage: Ensure pots have drainage holes, or use a nursery liner inside decorative bowls to prevent root rot.
Growing season (spring–summer): Feed every 4–6 weeks with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
Autumn–winter: Reduce feeding to every 6–8 weeks or pause if growth is minimal.
Pruning: Trim back leggy vines to promote fuller growth and shape. Great for styling and tidying.
Leaf care: Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep foliage vibrant.
Training: Can be trailed or lightly trained around bowls or table displays for creative styling.
Stem cuttings: Very easy to propagate in water or directly into soil. Cut below a node and place in water until roots form.
Perfect for sharing: Great for beginners wanting to create new plants or fill out existing displays.
Common pests: Mealybugs, aphids, and spider mites — particularly in very dry or dusty conditions.
Symptoms: Pale, sticky, or curling leaves may indicate pests or inconsistent watering.
Treatment: Wipe leaves and treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap. Improve airflow and light if needed.
Common issues:
Leggy growth: Usually due to low light — move to a brighter spot.
Loss of variegation: Caused by lack of light — golden tones will return with better lighting.
Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Contains calcium oxalates which can irritate.
Precaution: Keep out of reach of children and pets.
