Euphorbia Houseplants
Euphorbia, commonly known as Spurge, is a diverse genus of plants admired for their unique shapes, textures, and resilience. Many Euphorbia species, such as Euphorbia Trigona (African Milk Tree) or Euphorbia Milii (Crown of Thorns), thrive in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate some direct sunlight, making them suitable for various indoor environments. Water your Euphorbia sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings, typically every two to three weeks, ensuring the pot has excellent drainage to prevent root rot. Their striking forms and, in some cases, colourful blooms make Euphorbia a fascinating addition to any room.
In addition to their distinctive appearance, Euphorbia plants are relatively easy to care for, making them ideal for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts. They prefer temperatures between 18°C and 24°C and do well in low humidity, typical of indoor environments. Fertilise sparingly, about once every two to three months, with a balanced liquid fertiliser during the growing season. With minimal care, Euphorbia can enhance your indoor space with their architectural forms and unique beauty, adding a touch of exotic flair and natural interest to your home or office.
