Alocasia Jacklyn is a hybrid variety of Alocasia also known as Alocasia Tandurusa, known for its large, dark green, glossy leaves with white veins. Here are some general care tips for keeping your Alocasia Jacklyn healthy:

  1. Light: Alocasia Jacklyn plants prefer bright, indirect light. Place your plant near a window that receives plenty of sunlight, but avoid direct sunlight, as it can burn the leaves.

  2. Watering: Water your Alocasia Jacklyn regularly, but allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. During the winter months, the plant will require less water. It's important not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot.

  3. Soil: Plant your Alocasia Jacklyn in well-draining soil, such as a mix of potting soil and perlite or sand. The soil should be moist but not waterlogged.

  4. Temperature: Alocasia Jacklyn plants prefer warm temperatures between 60-80°F (16-27°C). Protect your plant from extreme temperatures, such as frost or heat waves.

  5. Humidity: Alocasia Jacklyn plants prefer moderate to high humidity. You can increase humidity by placing a humidifier near the plant, or by placing a tray of water near the plant.

  6. Fertilizer: Fertilize your Alocasia Jacklyn plant every 2-3 months with a balanced fertilizer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application rates.

  7. Pruning: Alocasia Jacklyn plants benefit from occasional pruning to maintain their shape and size. Trim back new growth to encourage branching and fuller foliage.

  8. Repotting: Repot your Alocasia Jacklyn plant every 1-2 years, or when it outgrows its current pot. Use a slightly larger pot and fresh soil.

With proper care, your Alocasia Jacklyn should thrive and grow into a beautiful, healthy plant. However, it's important to note that Alocasia plants can be toxic and may cause skin irritation or other health problems if ingested or handled improperly. Use caution when handling this plant and keep it away from pets and children.

Tropical Glasshouse Nursery: Our plants are nurtured in our tropical glasshouse nursery located in Lincolnshire, where we maintain an average temperature of 16°C. We do not use cold warehouses, ensuring optimal conditions for plant health.

Plastic Nursery Pots: All our plants are supplied in practical plastic nursery pots. If you prefer a more decorative option, we offer a range of stylish pots available for purchase separately.

Non-Consumable: Please note that our plants are intended for ornamental purposes only unless specifically stated as edible. Ensure you check product descriptions carefully if you are looking for edible varieties.

Variable Heights: The height of our plants can vary by approximately +/- 10%. This natural fluctuation ensures you receive a unique and healthy specimen.

Plant Pot Sizes: Pot sizes may vary by approximately +/- 1cm. To ensure a proper fit, we recommend selecting a decorative pot that is 1-2cm larger than the stated plant pot size. For instance, if you purchase a plant in a 17cm pot, a 18 - 19cm decorative pot would be ideal.

Quarantining: All our houseplants are regularly sprayed with a preventative systemic bug treatment. We do our best to ensure a bug free growing environment however sometimes these can unfortunately be missed, as such we always recommend quarantining plants when they first enter your home and checking them upon arrival for bugs.
