Due to the sensitive and breakable nature of our products, it's understandable that damages may occur despite our meticulous packaging methods. If you find that your plant or pot has arrived in a less than satisfactory condition, please reach out to us at hello@plantsforallseasons.co.uk within a month of your delivery date. When contacting us, please provide your order reference, alongside a photo clearly showing the damaged item and its packaging, including the delivery label. We are committed to resolving such issues by offering a refund or a replacement, depending on the availability of the item in question.
We are unable to accept returns that are not related to damage because plants are inherently perishable and delicate. It's also worth noting that the plant you receive may slightly differ from the images displayed on our website. This variation is natural, given that each plant is unique and subject to seasonal growth changes.

Philodendron mayoi is a stunning and fast-growing climbing aroid from the tropical rainforests of Brazil. Belonging to the Araceae family, this rare species is admired for its distinctive leaf shape and strong tropical aesthetic, making it a standout in any houseplant collection.
The foliage of Philodendron mayoi is deeply lobed, with each glossy green leaf resembling a feather or palm frond. The leaves emerge bronze when young before maturing into a vibrant emerald green, supported by sturdy, reddish petioles that add extra contrast and interest. Its elegant, symmetrical leaves give it a lush, sculptural quality — a true representation of the natural beauty of the Philodendron genus.
An easy-care climber that thrives with support, Philodendron mayoi is perfect for creating a jungle-like feel indoors, whether trained up a moss pole or allowed to trail gracefully from a shelf or hanging planter.
Thrives in bright, indirect light. It will tolerate moderate light but may produce smaller leaves with less definition in low-light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can burn the foliage.
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Overwatering can cause root rot, while underwatering may lead to drooping leaves. In winter, reduce watering frequency slightly.
Temperature: Prefers 18–28°C. Avoid cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity (60–80%). Mist occasionally or use a humidifier to maintain lush, healthy leaves.
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix – a combination of peat-free compost, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir is ideal. This ensures good airflow to the roots while retaining gentle moisture. Repot every 1–2 years in spring to refresh the soil and encourage new growth.
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Do not feed in winter when growth slows naturally.
Trim any leggy or damaged growth to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Remove yellowing leaves at the base. Wipe the large, glossy leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and keep them looking vibrant.
A fast-growing climber, capable of reaching 1–2 metres indoors when given support. With proper care, leaves can reach up to 30 cm in length and develop deep, characteristic lobes.
Yellow leaves: Overwatering or poor drainage.
Leggy growth: Insufficient light or lack of pruning.
Brown tips: Low humidity or inconsistent watering.
Pests: Occasionally thrips, spider mites, or mealybugs.
Discovered in Brazil, Philodendron mayoi grows as an epiphytic climber in humid forest environments. Its palm-like foliage and fast, easy growth make it a popular choice among aroid collectors and tropical plant lovers alike.
Like other Philodendrons, it is also an effective air purifier, filtering toxins from the air and helping create a cleaner, healthier indoor atmosphere. Its combination of tropical flair, resilience, and distinctive foliage makes it a perfect centrepiece for modern interiors or indoor jungles.
